Come as it may, there are still nice people in this world.
I spoke way to soon when I told myself that there are no longer sane and genuine people in this day and age.
I'm learning to bite my tongue.
Today I had a pleasant experience at CSUN's USU Computer Lab.
I was minding my own business and typing out my Geography 101 homework when all of a sudden I was having some trouble printing out my document. After fidgeting around for 7 minutes and of course the occasional heavy sigh, a kind gentleman sporting a "Fucking Classy" t-shirt, sitting next to me tried to help me. Thought that was funny. Might I add, that his stature was a bit hunched screaming "I play WOW till 5 in the morning."
Very nostalgic, not that I play WOW.
But the nerd in me related to him, and it really took me back to the days where I wore glasses and didn't care whether I was wearing mascara or not.
Back to the point, we both flustered around the printer trying to figure out why our papers were not printing, when honestly it was a simple click of an "OK" button.
Frustrated as I was, breathing heavily I staggered between 2 or 3 seats, when he kindly obliged to check on my paper for me. And so he did, and so he grabbed both of our papers. Nothing more, and nothing less.
I kindly said "thank you," and he said the common "your welcome."
And now we both sit here elbow to elbow with all of the other studious students with the exception of those who are browing their Myspaces and Facebooks, ha.
It's a funny world we live in.
Kind is the new "ass."
